Quality & EHS-Manager in Customer Projects (f/m/d)A Snapshot of Your DayAs a Quality- and EHS-Manager in customer projects within Siemens Energy Sustainable Energy Systems, you are the central point of contact for project managers, lead engineers, and customers on all Environment, Quality, Health & Safety (EQS) topics in hydrogen-electrolysis projects.You start your day by aligning strategies to ensure conformity of a component with relevant standards together with the component owner and mechanical and process engineering experts, followed by reviewing the Inspection and Test Plan for a subsystem in one of your execution projects to align with the supplier. After lunch with colleagues, you plan a site visit to support the commissioning team in resolving a nonconformity identified during startup, combined with a safety walk-and-talk to confirm effective implementation of the EHS plan. You close the day by reviewing a customer contract in a bid project for specific EQS requirements and discussing approaches to deviations with the bid manager over a coffee from our cafeteria.How You’ll Make an ImpactReview of contracts for EQS and conformity-relevant topics and definition of project-specific requirements during the bid phaseImplementation of contractual and legal EQS requirements across Elyzer hydrogen-electrolysis projects during the execution phaseDevelopment of project-specific quality management and EHS management plansModeration of risk assessments and enforcement of the implementation of mitigation measuresLeadership of supplier engagement and support of customers on all EQS-related topics within the project scope; coordination of cross-functional teams to ensure conformity of deliverablesAnalysis of reported near misses, incidents, and nonconformities to implement improvements and prevent recurrence across future projectsMonitoring of practical implementation of EQS-relevant measures during occasional site inspections and driving of continuous improvementWhat You BringDegree in engineering — ideally systems, energy, or chemical/process engineering — or a comparable fieldSeveral years of professional experience in the field of chemical plants or in the process industry with strong awareness regarding EQS-related aspectsKnowledge of electrolysis systems and/or experience in handling hydrogen (ideal)Experience in working in project teams in industrial contextsStructured and analytical working methods; experience in consulting, coaching, facilitation, and presentationIndependent work as EQS manager; confidence in decision-making within scope; professional engagement of stakeholders at all levelsBusiness fluency in German and English, spoken and writtenAbout the TeamOur Transformation of Industry division is decarbonizing the industrial sector.
