We are looking for a dedicated professional who, as a Configuration Management & Data Administration Engineer, will ensure the structured handling, accuracy, and availability of technical documentation across multiple aerospace programs. In this role, you work at the interface between engineering, project management, and suppliers — safeguarding data integrity, supporting configuration processes, and maintaining documentation systems. * Maintain and manage all design documents generated across programs and projects (e.g., drawings, BOMs, DOIs)
* Perform incoming checks for formal correctness according to project and export control requirements, release documentation, and archive it in PDM; correct issues when needed
* Import data from systems such as CHS, Capital, CATIA; manage partner documentation for Eurofighter, Tornado, P‑3C Orion, and Eurodrone, and provide it in PDM ASAP for all departments
* Upload design documents received via EPN (Eurofighter‑Panavia‑Network) into PDM/ASAP and transfer them to the ASAP archive
* Review and register electrical diagrams received from EPCs, upload them to PDM/ASAP, and archive them
* Create, assign numbers, distribute, and manage Stop and Proceed Orders in coordination with Design and Manufacturing; convert Word documents into TIFF files
* Distribute DCN0 and DOIs to partners; manually upload EPC DCN0 and DOI documents into PDM/ASAP and archive them, including updating all relevant BU folders
* Process daily PDM system emails regarding overnight‑completed BU folders; review error messages, correct issues in CATIA, and generate TIFF files for ASAP; verify completeness and correctness of all BU folders
* Maintain archived originals / microfilm cards (Tornado, C160, P‑3C Orion); scan originals and create TIFF files on request
* Handle PDM hotline inquiries and provide support for PDM and ASAP
* Create and update relevant Data Administration standards for all programs and participate in internal and external working groups
* Conduct ASAP training sessions for departments, including cross‑engineering teams; develop new archiving concepts and improve existing methods
Profil
* Master’s degree or Diploma in Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
* At least 3 years of engineering experience
* At least 3 years of project management experience
* Proven experience in Data Administration, Configuration Management (CM), and PLM
* Mandatory knowledge of Configuration & Change Management
* Understanding of workflows in Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, and In‑Service
* Experience with weapon systems operated in Manching, especially Eurofighter
* Knowledge of archiving and microfilm technology is an advantage
* Strong MS Office skills with advanced proficiency
* Good working knowledge of design systems such as CAPITAL, CCD, CATIA, PDM
* Experience with other systems such as KIS, PCMS, EIS, LCable, VPM is beneficial
* German: fluent
