Investigate Neurodegenerative Processes
The Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) is a renowned research institution that conducts cutting-edge fundamental and translational research in Systems Biology and Biomedicine.
Our team of experts focuses on neurodegenerative processes, particularly Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. We strive to advance our understanding of these complex conditions through our truly interdisciplinary approach.
Join Our Research Team
In the Developmental and Cellular Biology Group, led by Prof. Jens Schwamborn, we utilize human stem cells for in vitro modeling of neurodegeneration diseases.
Our aim is to develop novel models for the human brain, with a particular focus on Parkinson's disease. We are currently seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to investigate the role of aged microglia in Parkinson's Disease.
Key Qualifications
Applicants should have a strong background in human stem cell research and experience in either high content imaging, multi electrode array technology or reprogramming of somatic cells into pluripotency.
Computational image analysis and aging research skills are advantageous. Leadership and responsibility are essential for this demanding project.
