<p><strong>Your area of responsibility</strong><br>As VAT expert within Group Tax – the central tax department of Deutsche Börse Group – you will play a key role in ensuring VAT compliance across our German entities. You will drive process improvements, contribute to strategic tax initiatives, and act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders.</p>
<p><strong>Your tasks</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Preparation and review of VAT returns, EC sales lists, and annual VAT declarations</li>
<li>Strategic involvement in year-end closing processes and tax audits</li>
<li>Acting as a senior point of contact for complex VAT-related matters across the organization</li>
<li>Leading the enhancement of VAT-relevant processes and compliance tools – especially regarding input VAT allocation</li>
<li>Close collaboration with internal departments like Accounting, Legal, IT and external advisors</li>
<li>Mentoring junior team members and contributing to knowledge sharing within the tax function </li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Your profile</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>University degree in business administration with a focus on taxation or finance, further qualification as tax advisor</li>
<li>More than 5 years of professional experience in VAT compliance, ideally within the financial services industry or a multinational corporation</li>
<li>Strong expertise in ERP systems and VAT compliance tools (e.g. VERA, Vertex); experience in process automation is a plus</li>
<li>Strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and a proactive, solution-oriented approach</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills in both German and English</li>
