The Airbus Cabin Power Systems team as part of the Cabin Core Systems main department is looking for a Cabin and Cargo System Engineer (d/f/m)
We are responsible for the successful distribution of electrical power all across the cabin and all commercial A/C types, which requires an effective combination of hardware, software and arbitration rules among consumers. To achieve our mission today, we cover the development of new systems (software/hardware), steering of customized configuration on each head of version, and investigations against production or in-service issues. We also help prepare the ways in which we will achieve tomorrow, by defining and progressing on the strategic roadmap of our product portfolio. The team works in close cooperation with a multitude of partners, both external (e.g. suppliers, research institutions, standardization groups) and internal (e.g. module designers, architects, certification specialists, Procurement, innovation and R&T community).

Your tasks and responsibilites
* Accompaniment the design, specification, qualification and certification of Cabin Power Systems / Subsystems / Equipment considering: Safety, Quality, Systems Performance, Cost, Environmental, Operational and Industrial Requirements.
* Support Validation and Verification process of system / sub-system/ equipment development
* Creation of Design Office technical documentation in line with the DE.SO. Processes
* Creation of change documentation
* Get to know the Supplier monitoring and project management on Airbus Design Office side
* Ensuring compliance of the supplier technical activities according to the Airbus rules and airworthiness regulations
* Support and analysis of lab, ground and flight tests
* Coordination of Airbus internal interfaces such as to Program organization, Procurement, Final Assembly Line, Customer Service, Flight Test and Airworthiness department
* Handling of in-service occurrences, provide technical analysis and risk assessments.
* Configuration management incl. equipment steering
* HoV customization and SB Cabin retrofit might be part of the scope.
Your boarding pass
* You are skilled in the field of electricity, or are willing to develop in this direction having a university degree in Engineering (mechanical, aeronautical or electrical) or similar qualifications
* You have basic knowledge of the engineering processes: Requirement Engineering & Management, Functional / Physical Design, Integration, and Verification & validation.
* You bring basic understanding of Airworthiness Regulations and System Safety, ideally some work experience
* Experience in or a willingness to work in an international team and with international internal interfaces as well as external suppliers
* You have strong presentation and communication skills in front of internal and external interfaces at various hierarchical levels
* You have the ability to deal with abstract problems and issues in analytical way
* You bring the capability to propose solutions in an assertive manner "speak up mentality"
* You are highly engaged, autonomous and open-minded way of working and ability to drive the change
* You show a team-oriented mindset and the desire to learn your new role
* Your English is at a negotiation level. German language skills are appreciated
