As a Sales Support Associate at IDEXX, you will provide support to the sales team in your region and act as a liaison between the sales professionals and internal departments. You will help ensure the lead-to-order process has checks and balances, provide transactional support to ensure successful and efficient execution of business transactions, and generate smooth onboarding for our customers.
Responsibilities
* Partner with the commercial ecosystem on sales proposals while balancing customer and business needs. Investigate and resolve inquiries, escalate unique situations, and proactively identify opportunities to enhance service offerings.
* Understand the organizational structure, customer agreement lifecycle, products, services, marketing programs and pricing. Demonstrate resourcefulness and know where to locate policies, procedures, and program guides.
* Gain trust with members of the commercial ecosystem through honesty, integrity, and authenticity. Drive results and meet service level agreements by prioritizing and planning work to complete tasks on time.
* Contribute to customer satisfaction, loyalty and retention by partnering with the commercial ecosystem to develop creative solutions that meet customer needs.
* Use SalesForce.com to approve the setup of new SAP accounts.
* Support achievement of revenue, gross margin and operating expenses targets.
* Ensure the sales team adheres to pricing policies, submits paperwork correctly, and follows audit guidelines.
* Provide daily reporting of instruments sold, installations and pipeline for internal use.
* Participate in projects to implement initiatives; identify project opportunities and generate ideas and solutions.
* Coordinate work with related areas and, when needed, potentially lead work activities of others, including training, coaching and guidance.
* Investigate inquiries and identify opportunities to improve the service offering.
* Engage in personal development and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
* Initiative-driven with the ability to drive tasks and targets.
* Analytical skills with high proficiency in Excel; preferably experience with SalesForce.com and Business Objects.
* Project management skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
* Strong attention to detail and experience in data gathering.
* Process improvement skills and excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders across the organization and work with local language and conversational English.
* Fluency in German and fluent Business English.
* Presentation skills to explain business requirements to diverse audiences; influencing skills to gain commitment for decisions.
* Ability to prioritize and plan work to meet deadlines; manage conflicts and ambiguity with resilience.
* Commercial, business, and financial acumen; trustworthy partner to Sales Professionals and ability to balance customer and company needs.
* Strong communication, organization, and teamwork; proactive knowledge sharing within the team.
* Advanced knowledge of IDEXX products, services, systems, programs and processes with a willingness to identify improvements.
