Ihre Aufgaben
You are responsible for the detailed planning of the 1&1 RAN as well as operational support of its implementation within a region. Your key responsibilities:
1. End-to-end responsibility for planning the O-RAN rollout within a region (RU, DU, transport connections)
2. Detailed planning and optimization of radio network planning (search areas, site prioritization, transport connections)
3. Maintenance and updating of planning databases and evaluation of new site proposals from tower companies
4. Conducting RF and interference analyses to ensure network quality and frequency allocations
5. Development, management, and implementation of the regional rollout roadmap – in a fully integrated, prioritized planning approach, coordinated with all relevant stakeholders
6. Close collaboration with suppliers, tower companies, system integrators, and expansion partners
7. Responsibility for achieving regional rollout targets (e.g., sites per month/quarter, household coverage, on-site network production) while considering technical and economic requirements
8. Personal commitment and identification with the agile collaboration during regional implementation with various contacts (tower companies, city networks, acquisition partners, etc.) (e.g.)
9. Monitoring and optimization of qualitative KPIs during the commissioning of RAN sites (e.g., first-time right, planning quality)

10. Several years of experience in RAN planning and rollout, ideally with a regional focus
11. Excellent understanding of modern mobile network architectures (LTE, 5G, vRAN, oRAN)
12. Knowledge of EMF, frequency management, and site approvals
13. Ability to evaluate technical planning decisions from an economic perspective and set appropriate priorities
14. Strong communication and persuasive skills when dealing with partners, internal stakeholders, and authorities
15. Solid knowledge of radio planning (in Atoll) required
16. Fluent in English, German is an advantage
