Responsibilities
Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division (Hexagon) is seeking a Senior Accountant. With offices in Munich, Dusseldorf, Sulingen, Neunkirchen and Dortmund, this role will serve our business across the DACH region; the successful candidate will be based in Garching by Munich, in Germany.
Responsibilities
* Prepares standard and nonstandard journal entries and general ledger account analyses
* Account for fixed asset purchases, tracks fixed assets, records depreciation, and periodically performs physical audits of fixed assets
* posts and reconciles global cash pool netting
* Reconcile VAT
* Prepares reports such as DSO, Aged Receivables, and Aged Unbilled Receivables.
* Provides documentation for external auditors
* Possesses an understanding of IFRS/US_GAAP and local accounting regulations
* Support during the month end closing and annual financial statements
Education / Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years of professional experience in accounting in a multinational company
* This position requires individuals to perform moderately complex accounting assignments following established procedures in areas such as financial reporting, intercompany accounting general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payables, fixed assets,
* Very good command of spoken and written German (at least C2 level) and English language (business proficiency)
* Strong planning and organizing skills, deadline oriented
* Proficient in using MS Office, especially MS Excel (Pivotables, vlook-up, etc.)
* Experienced user of a standard ERP system (MS Dynamics Great Plains experience would be an advantage)
* Fast learner, communicative and a high degree of social competence
* Self-motivated individual that is looking for a role that will challenge and reward.
