Your Role: Development of new machining processes for the feasibility study of new products (ultra-precision machining of optical surfaces in the production of intraocular lenses) Development of manufacturing processes for highly precise, efficient and minimum-error production as well as the industrialization of these processes (across several production sites) Introduction, implementation and qualification of the processes on 3- or 5-axis systems (incl. CNC programming) Thorough documentation of processes and work instructions to ensure the quality of our products according to the strict medical technology requirements and enable efficient communication across all production sites. Close cooperation with R&D, working on the development of our product portfolio as well as an intensive exchange with colleagues across all production sites Your Profile: A university degree with a relevant technical focus A Hands-on mentality in dealing with ultra-precise machine tool systems Practical experience in machining high-precision components (in sub-micrometer range) and setting up corresponding machines including NC-CNC technology and programming Professional experience in industrial production or, alternatively, a good understanding of the boundary conditions expected in an industrial environment A high degree of curiosity, initiative and structured work to drive your topics forward under technical challenges and difficult boundary conditions Business fluent in Englisch and German (written and spoken) to be successful both locally and in an international team With the opportunities to work on partially and fully automated, CNC-controlled machines with state-of-the-art manufacturing processes – you will be part of the team who is developing our diverse IOL portfolio of mono- and multifocal as well as toric lenses with the highest precision.
