ROLE SUMMARY

The General Manager will be responsible for leadership and supervision of store personnel, inventory tracking and management, achieving key performance metrics and ensuring the efficient daily operations of the store. This role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance while delivering exceptional customer experience.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Plan and implement strategies to drive service standards and positive sales results

2. Maintain brand standards in visual merchandising

3. Ensure consistent regulatory compliance with all state specific regulations

4. Review, communicate and ensure compliance with all company SOPs and assure that any changes are communicated to employees

5. Evaluate employee performance and identify hiring and training needs

6. Provide coaching, training, and development to the team that is focused on company service standards and accountability to meet specific objectives

7. Monitor and maintain store inventory

8. Responsible for handling and resolving patient issues and escalations

9. Maintain professional working relationships with business partners

10. Schedule effectively within labor budget to meet the needs of the business

11. Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance

12. Perform other tasks that have been assigned by management

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

13. Bachelor’s degree preferred, four years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience

14. Prior management experience, preferably in retail and/or customer service area is a plus

15. Must have prior cash handling experience

16. Must possess the ability to train, develop and evaluate a team of 40+ employees

17. Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism to communicate with all levels of management and staff; ability to uphold a strict level of confidentiality and discretion

18. Able to communicate in conversational English to work effectively with customers and team members, operate electronic equipment (computer, scanner, printer, etc.), comprehend safety procedures, and utilize telecommunication devices

19. Proven ability to analyze data and draw appropriate conclusions to inform policies and procedures

20. Ability to interact with customers and team members respectfully and politely

ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

21. Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass a MVR background check (delivery locations only)

22. Must be able to pass a level 1 and level 2 background check

23. Must be at least 21 years of age

24. Must function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies

25. Must be able to relate to and work with patrons of different ages, abilities, and patrons that at times are experiencing emotional distress, or displaying a hostile attitude

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:

26. Constantly required to move/traverse throughout entire facility, including tight spaces

27. Accurately communicate and exchange sensitive information and ideas with others, including members of the public; observe/inspect details at varying ranges; operate computing devices

28. Frequently required to manipulate objects of varying sizes and weights (e.g., products, packaging, tools, office machinery): push/pull objects up to 50lbs; lift/carry/position objects up to 50 lbs.; ascend/descend stool/ladder/steps; position self and/or objects at floor level (e.g., crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl)

29. Must have visual and auditory acuity with or without aids to perform all functions of the position

30. Occasionally required to remain in a seated position

WORK SCHEDULE

45+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on store needs. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
