Your mission
We're building an edge AI product for the industrial automation sector — combining real-time data, embedded devices, and on-device intelligence. You'll take ownership of all AI functionality within our product: from data processing and stream learning algorithms to deployment and performance optimization on the edge. This is a hands-on engineering role with real impact — you'll be shaping how industrial systems learn and adapt directly on the device.
We need you
* Build and optimize edge AI modules for real-time stream learning and deep learning inference — covering anomaly detection, forecasting, audio, and vision tasks
* Develop robust and efficient Go and Python code running in Docker containers on Linux-based embedded edge devices
* Integrate AI components with our product stack and ensure reliable communication via OPC UA, MQTT, and NATS
* Optimize AI modules for performance and resource efficiency in constrained environments
* Ensure performance, reliability, and efficiency in constrained edge environments
* Take technical ownership of AI features, guide architectural decisions, and collaborate with other engineers to uphold high technical standards
You are a good fit for us
* Proven experience building and deploying AI/ML systems in production — ideally on embedded or edge devices
* Proficiency in Go and Python
* Solid understanding of online learning, real-time signal processing, and time-series analysis
* Hands-on experience with Linux, Docker, CI/CD, and performance profiling
* Comfortable working close to hardware and optimizing for edge performance
* Independent, pragmatic, and delivery-focused
* Strong sense of ownership, adaptability, and technical curiosity
* Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset
* Fluency in English and German (both written and spoken)
Bonus points
* Familiarity with OPC UA, MQTT, NATS, or industrial data protocols
* Background in automation, robotics, or IoT environments
* Experience with embedded frameworks or low-level performance tuning
