Responsibilities
* Research on the molecular mechanisms of synapse formation and neurotransmission
* Investigate the role of synaptic organizer molecules, particularly neurexins
* Analyze defects of these molecules in mutant mouse models of neurodevelopmental disorders
* Conduct experiments to study synaptic function and structure in vivo and in vitro
* Apply state-of-the-art methods to analyze synaptic mechanisms and neuronal structure
REQUIREMENTS:
* Above-average Master's degree in a relevant field
* Strong Motivation for basic science research
* Beneficial: prior experimental experience with the nervous system
* Beneficial: skills in biochemistry, cell culture, electrophysiology, or microscopic techniques
