Responsibilities Employee receives instructions from the supervisor or dispatcher as to the type of vehicle to be operated, destination, purpose, deadline, and work to be done. Operates a motor coach to transport large groups of people on trips where day and night driving are involved. Operates truck tractors with semi and full trailers or straight in-line trucks typically having a gross vehicle weight of more than 32,000 pounds on in all types of traffic conditions. Knowledge of height, weight, width, and length of vehicle in order to judge overhead and side clearances, turning radius and braking distance The operator receives instructions from the supervisor or dispatcher as to the type of vehicle to be operated, destination, purpose, deadline, and work to be done. Experience and training that equip the applicant with knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the duties of this position consistent with accepted practices of the trade. 2. Ability to use and maintain appropriate tools, equipment and applicable vehicles based on gross weight (32,000 pounds) 3. Ability to read, understand, and apply instruction and other materials related to the job. Ability to do the work of the position under normal supervision 4. FWS Allowances and Differentials All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee. Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Foreign Overseas Allowances Allowances, differentials, or incentives will not be paid. Post allowance may be paid in accordance with the Department of States Standardized Regulations (DSSR), contingent upon eligibility.
