We are seeking a highly motivated R&D Specialist (m/f/d) with hands-on expertise in supercritical CO₂ extraction and purification technologies. In this role, you will help shape the next generation of sustainable processes and functional ingredients within a dynamic and innovative environment. This position is fixed-term to one year. The Role & Your Tasks Product & Process Development Design and implement new processes based on yeast or other raw materials. Develop SC CO₂-based methods for purification and concentration of new and existing products. Experimental Design & Execution Plan and conduct experiments at lab and pilot scale. Apply statistical experimental design (DoE) for process optimization. Document, interpret, and present results clearly within the organization. Characterization & Analysis Perform functional and compositional characterization of products. Research and interpret scientific literature to support innovation initiatives. Collaboration & Networking Build and expand collaborations with universities, CDMOs, and start-ups. Occasionally represent the company at conferences and trade shows. Your Profile Education Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Must-have: Hands-on expertise with SC CO₂ extraction or fractionation (e.g., SC CO₂ chromatography, fractionation columns). Familiarity with high‑pressure equipment and associated safety standards. Experience with Design of Experiments (DoE) is a strong plus. Fluent English (spoken and written). German is a plus. Skills & Attributes Analytical thinking and structured working style.
