What do you contribute?
* As project and design lead engineer (m/f/d), you will oversee projects within the 'System Integration' department ('Driver's Cab'), focusing on the development and integration of components such as lighting, camera systems, and sensors in locomotive cabs.
* You will manage variant configurations of driver’s cabs, including equipment, color, and operational options.
* You should have deep knowledge of bus systems like Ethernet TRDP and similar technologies.
* You will develop standards, specifications, and all related documentation, ensuring proper component integration.
* You will coordinate with disciplines like circuit engineering, control technology, cable routing, and supplier teams to ensure successful project implementation.
* You will support the deployment of technical solutions at our manufacturing sites globally, including Germany, the USA, and India.
What do you bring along?
* A master's degree in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or rail vehicle technology.
* Several years of relevant experience in rail vehicle engineering and project management, with familiarity in mechanical and electrical component integration and standards.
* Experience coordinating technical tasks and managing international project teams; international cooperation experience is a plus.
* Proficiency in engaging with customers, authorities, and suppliers.
* Skilled in 3D CAD systems (preferably Creo) and PLM systems (preferably SAP and Teamcenter).
* Strong analytical skills to understand complex rail vehicle systems.
* Proficiency in English and German (B2 or higher), with willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
* Ability to perform work remotely as part of the 'new normal.'
