Summary:
* To Promote, implement and ensure the execution of a health and safety at work and environment management system
* To deliver a safe and secure environment for all its employees, visitors and contractors on-site, for production sites and offices.
* To ensure compliance to health & safety regulation
* Introduction of ISO 14001 and 45001 in Germany
* Manage sustainability reporting according to Group guidelines
The Role:
a) HSE activities:
* To define the processes in the field of health and safety at work on the basis of current regulations and the directives of the international headquarters
* To monitor, evaluate and review Health, Safety and Environmental policy
* To take actions to mitigate the impact and likelihood of health, safety and environmental risks
* To advise on the implications of current and emerging health, safety, environmental and welfare legislation
* To support new employees on safety, health, emergency and environment aspects and programs
* To manage safety and environmental act of appointments (RSPP, doctor, fire fighting and first aid squad etc)
* To coordinate mandatory internal safety training
* To involve employees, contractors, visitors on awareness of risks
* Waste management, registrations of waste forms and verification of transporter/disposal permits;
* To investigate the circumstances and causes of safety and environmental accidents and near misses and take necessary steps to prevent a recurrence
* To provide a report to management to discuss the accident and near misses trends
* Plan for safety and environmental emergencies by ensuring the necessary means, creating an evacuation plan and train employees
* To carry out internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of health, safety and environmental systems and procedures, and identify and implement improvements
* To support other departments (Quality / Procurement) in audit to contractors
* To Support the Operations director in Safety and Environmental management review
* To maintain and implement ISO standards
* To collect safety and environment performance indicators, sharing monthly with all employees
* Reports to management
* Relations with Health, Safety, Environment Authorities
b) RSPP activities:
* To ensure compliance with health, safety and environment legislation
* To assess all safety and health risks and to provide the Risk Assessment Documents and all the related documents required by the legislation
* To ensure safety compliance of all machines, equipment’s and systems
* To ensure safe workplaces
* To assist in the identification of training needs for employees, to plan and develop mandatory safety training
* To provide employees’ health surveillance related to risks and maintain relations with appointed doctor
* To ensure the correct PPE assignment related to risks
* To ensure the legal conformity to safety and environment of contractors and to help the designated individuals to coordinate risky processes of contractors. To provide coordination documents
* To ensure the mandatory annual safety meeting
Requirements :
* Knowledge in HSE risk analysis and risk evaluation methodologies
* Previous experience in the same role
* Good knowledge across the key elements of safety and environmental legislation
* Good knowledge across the standard ISO, 45001, 14001
* A structured approach to day-to-day leadership on health, safety and environmental matters
* Good knowledge in software applications
* Advanced level of English (B2 or more)
