FANATICS is a global leader in licensed sports merchandise, trading cards, and collectibles. As part of our German expansion, we are opening a Pop-Up Store in Munich to establish a premium retail presence and strengthen brand awareness.
This Pop-Up Store will be a flagship destination for collectors and fans, offering exclusive trading cards, authentic memorabilia, and merchandise from the world’s leading leagues. The store is not just a retail location but a key part of our business growth strategy in Germany.
Your Responsibilities
As Retail Store Manager (m/f/d), you will hold full operational and commercial responsibility for the Pop-Up Store. You will lead a team of supervisors and staff, ensuring excellence in sales, customer experience, and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Leadership & Team Management
* Lead, inspire, and develop a multi-level team (Retail Supervisors and floor staff)
* Define team objectives and align them with store KPIs and business goals
* Implement structured training and development programmes for supervisors and team members
* Act as the primary point of leadership for store operations, ensuring alignment with brand standards
Business Performance & P&L Responsibility
* Full accountability for store performance, including revenue, margin, and operational costs
* Analyse sales data, monitor KPIs, and implement strategic measures to drive profitability
* Forecast and manage budgets, labour planning, and stock investments
* Ensure effective execution of marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives
Customer Experience & Brand Leadership
* Create a premium, immersive retail experience for collectors and fans
* Host and manage high-profile events, product launches, and community initiatives
* Drive brand awareness and customer loyalty by setting service standards and supervising execution
Store Operations & Merchandising
* Ensure all visual merchandising and product displays meet brand guidelines
* Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and shrinkage prevention
* Optimise operational processes to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction
Stakeholder Engagement
* Report store performance and strategic insights to senior leadership (Area Manager / Retail Director)
* Represent FANATICS in front of partners, VIP customers, and visiting stakeholders
* Provide recommendations for market expansion, product mix, and store initiatives
Your Profile
* Passion for collectibles, trading cards, or sports memorabilia an advantage
* Proven experience in a retail management or multi-store leadership role, ideally in collectibles, sports, or lifestyle retail
* Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and KPIs
* Leadership experience managing multi-level teams, including supervisors or assistant managers
* Strategic thinker with operational and analytical skills
* Excellent communication skills, confident presenting to senior stakeholders
Language Requirements
* English – Proficient (mandatory; interviews conducted in English)
