Desitin is one of Germany’s few medium-sized privately owned pharmaceutical companies. It is headquartered in Hamburg, where it produces and sells medication primarily destined for the European market. Desitin has significant expertise in medication for treating epilepsy and Parkinson's disease and offers nearly all of the antiseizure drugs listed in the WHO Model List of Essential Medicines. In Germany, over 150,000 epilepsy patients are being treated with drugs provided by Desitin - which is more than the drugs provided by any other pharmaceutical company. Desitin also develops medication for rare diseases and supplements its portfolio with proven over-the-counter drugs sold by pharmacies. * leading and managing the Business Development division
* Reporting directly to the Managing Director (CEO) with the aim of expanding the global product portfolio in the strategic core indications
* analyzing, selecting and implementing new product opportunities (R&D, licensing, M&A, asset deals)
* development of the existing product portfolio
* excellent crossfunctional collaboration
* preparing and conducting price negotiations and concluding contracts in line with the corporate strategy
Erfahrung und Qualifikationen
* a successfully completed degree in natural sciences or economics
* relevant professional experience in the areas of portfolio management, M&A, R&D and BD in the pharmaceutical industry
* strategic foresight, great negotiating skills and an analytical mindset
* a positive, open-minded and assertive personality with an entrepreneurial mindset
* business fluent in German and English
* willingness to travel
