Position Title: Medical Lead Oncology – Germany

Position Summary

As Medical Lead Oncology – Germany, you will play a strategic and hands-on leadership role in shaping and executing the medical affairs strategy for the solid tumors portfolio. You will lead a dedicated team, drive scientific excellence, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure successful product launches and lifecycle management. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference for patients while working in a highly collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, develop, and manage the solid tumors medical team in Germany, including five direct reports (Medical Advisor and four MSLs).
* Drive the development and tactical execution of local medical launch and lifecycle management activities in alignment with global and European medical strategies.
* Ensure scientific and medical excellence by guiding the MSL team strategy and execution, including oversight of external service providers.
* Lead advocacy efforts to support appropriate brand adoption and ensure impactful scientific communication.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders and medical experts across Germany.
* Collaborate closely with the Medical Director to establish a strong medical presence in Germany and support activities in Austria and Switzerland as needed.
* Foster close cross-functional collaboration between medical, sales, clinical, and brand teams, as well as with global and European medical affairs and clinical operations.
* Provide strategic and operational leadership for pre-launch and pre-reimbursement activities across all oncology compounds and indications.
* Secure and manage externally sponsored research projects to generate real-world evidence (RWE), including successful global funding acquisition.
* Offer medical expertise in regulatory and reimbursement processes and ensure compliance with pharmacovigilance and risk management requirements.
* Uphold legal and ethical standards in all medical activities in accordance with SOPs and local/EU regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven leadership experience as a (Senior) MSL Manager or equivalent, with a track record of managing and developing high-performing medical teams.
* Substantial experience in solid tumors oncology, ideally complemented by onco-hematology exposure.
* Demonstrated success in product launches and strategic medical planning.
* Strong network of oncology experts and stakeholders in Germany.
* Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) with at least 8 years of relevant industry experience .
* Strategic thinker with a proactive, hands-on approach and a passion for scientific excellence.
* Strong scientific and/or clinical background enabling meaningful engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
* High level of self-motivation, adaptability, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Fluent in German and English .
* Willingness to travel extensively.
