Essential Responsibilities:
1. Drive revenue growth and global market expansion by identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships, channels, and opportunities
2. Lead the negotiation with external partners and engage cross-functional support colleagues to ensure the successful delivery of solutions for large complex partnerships
3. Develop and execute an overall business strategy to identify and cultivate strategic partnerships, channels, and opportunities to drive revenue growth and global market expansion
4. Influence the negotiation with external partners, engaging cross-functional support colleagues, to ensure successful delivery of solutions for large complex partnerships
5. Align product and business levers (such as pricing and FX) to maximize revenue and market expansion opportunities
6. Engage closely with product, engineering, and architecture teams to drive the architectural runway and determine the best technical implementation/design
7. Represent the end customer on an ongoing basis and use this knowledge to drive effective prioritization and decision-making
8. Collaborate and influence product outcomes in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders such as Engineering, Operations, Risk, Legal, Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Finance, and Banking Partners
Minimum Qualifications:
9. Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualification:
10. Knowledge and passion for the BNPL space in the DE region, including understanding of regulated and non-regulated consumer credit.
11. Experience with credit and/or financial services products in DE in general, and with PayPal’s and competitors BNPL products in particular.
12. Experience working with partner functions such as marketing, finance, product & engineering, credit risk, etc.
13. Ability to get things done in a highly matrixed environment, with multiple stakeholders across several time zones
14. Be action-oriented with a strong and consistent track record of professional accomplishments
15. Aspiration to operate as a General Manager, routinely deliver commercial results and influence a cross-functional team of peers & senior leaders
16. Fluent in German and English required.
