You are responsible for the design and dimensioning of equipment for flat products, particularly in mechanical engineering and structural mechanics; additionally:
1. Design, dimensioning and optimization of machine components and plant technology with regard to component strength, service life and economic efficiency
2. Execution of static and dynamic dimensioning of structures and components for flat-product technology in the areas of rolling mill technology and strip processing lines
3. Development of calculation models and methods for the design of components and systems
4. Providing methodological support to the departments
5. Responsible execution of development projects
6. Interdisciplinary collaboration and support during commissioning and in sales projects
YOU KNOW
You have a completed degree in engineering (mechanical engineering or equivalent); additional important skills and qualifications:
7. Solid knowledge of machine elements and mechanical design
8. Very good experience with simulation tools (FEM methods)
9. Very good knowledge in the field of fatigue strength and corresponding design guidelines (FKM guideline, Eurocode)
10. Good skills with CAD programs (ideally Creo Parametric)
11. Open-mindedness, ability to work in a team, and resilience
12. Entrepreneurial thinking and acting
13. Willingness to travel worldwide
14. Business-fluent German and very good English language skills
