As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will lead the planning and execution of projects to procure, develop, and install machinery and tooling for series production, ensuring quality, financial, technical, and temporal requirements are met. You will provide manufacturing engineering expertise to product innovation processes, developing new equipment and supporting plants to optimize current machinery usage.
The position is based in our EMEA headquarters in Hannover, Germany. Key responsibilities include:
* Full responsibility for assigned series production processes, machinery, and tooling
* Create specifications (SOW) for manufacturing equipment
* Project lead for new or changed machinery and tooling
* Development of assigned processes, machinery, and tooling for new products, quality improvements, and maintenance
* Support operations with existing machinery in assigned processes and machinery
* Set global standards for assigned processes, machinery, and tooling
* Report and collaborate on professional and project subjects with key stakeholders
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Engineer or technician degree in mechatronics, mechanics, automotive engineering, or comparable qualification
* Work experience within the automotive industry is a plus
* Project Management experience is ideal
* Good communication skills and a hands-on mentality
* Ability to build strong working relationships and communicate on various levels
* Quality awareness
* Knowledge of CE regulations is a plus
* Experience working with CAD software
* Electrical knowledge
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Fluency in German and English required
