Objective: To serve existing customers and identify new growth opportunities, contributing to revenue generation and business expansion. Develop strong relationships with key partners and end-users to ensure our products are specified and sold.
This position involves implementing the regional strategy in Germany, meeting sales targets and leveraging product knowledge to drive continuous success. Analyze market opportunities to develop strategies for maximum margin and penetration.
Key responsibilities:
* Drive business goals to ensure continued growth using in-depth knowledge of MF&PS products.
* Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with regional and European objectives.
* Analyze market trends to maximize margins and increase market presence.
* Seek synergy opportunities across business units through process improvements, shared workforces and cross-selling/up-selling initiatives.
* Maintain a good understanding of the company's products or services to advise others effectively.
* Develop and maintain relationships with partners to stay connected with local market characteristics.
* Enhance sales excellence and deliver performance across channels.
* Evaluate and maintain pricing policies for each sales channel.
* Forecast and report sales volumes as requested.
* Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product Management and other functional groups to inform them of market conditions, pricing issues, competitive trends, etc.
* Attend educational seminars, trade shows and industry conferences for customer-oriented purposes.
* Utilize CRM tools effectively by logging call plans, opportunity follow-ups, account planning, etc.
Achieving success in this role requires:
* Bachelor's degree in business or technical curriculum.
* Sales personality with strategic vision to drive sales growth.
* 5-10 years' experience in sales within the HVAC industry, with in-depth knowledge of heating/ventilation/air conditioning products.
* Engineering acumen and strong technical and commercial confidence.
* Functional experience in areas of strategic planning, marketing, business development and market research.
* Proven experience in building and maintaining relationships with diverse internal and external constituencies.
* Superior English and German communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Proficiency in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Familiarity with Salesforce.com and SAP is highly desirable.
* Travel up to 75% may be required at times.
