What you’ll do

Large Language Models (LLMs) are transforming Machine Learning but pose challenges in business applications due to their limited understanding of structured and unstructured business data such as business data models, business process metadata and documentation, which slows the development progress. It is SAP's mission to overcome these challenges within the realm of Business AI. Our goal is to provide Knowledge Graphs (KG) as key differentiators to address LLM challenges like hallucination and compliance and to deliver distinctive generative AI solutions to our customers.
The Role
1. Unique opportunity to contribute to the development of Knowledge Graphs as a source of explicit knowledge across multiple SAP domains.
2. Support the integration of Knowledge Graphs in downstream tasks such as Generative AI applications to address hallucinations, as well as insight generation applications.
3. Assist in designing and building a large-scale Knowledge Graph using business data alongside Knowledge and Data engineering teams and stakeholders.
4. Understand and analyze requirements from domain specialists and data owners and translate those to Knowledge Graph designs.
5. Present, discuss, and explain how Knowledge Graphs can benefit business use cases, and assist in drafting new cases for the relevant stakeholders.
What you bring
6. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, physics, mathematics or other relevant disciplines.
7. 2+ years of related professional experience with Knowledge Graph databases and an overview of current vendors and open-source solutions.
8. Experience with Knowledge Graphs specifically in their application in a business context is a strong plus.
9. Experience with RDF Knowledge Graph technology stack (RDF, OWL, SHACL, SPARQL) and in property graphs-based solutions (e.g., neo4j).
10. Experience in semantic / knowledge modeling
11. First hand experience with latest research and development trends in Knowledge Graphs, e.g. Generative AI and Large Language Models, KG generation and KG embedding approaches.
12. Data science knowledge related to graph data structures is a strong plus.
13. Fluent in Python and the ability to convert your ideas into productive code.
14. Developer experience with any SAP Application and its underlying data models is a plus.
15. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-cultural teams.
