As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in identifying and initiating contact with potential M&A prospects across Finance, Healthcare and Education in Germany. You'll be one of the first points of contact, representing Topicus and learning extensively about the local software market and entrepreneurial landscape.
Refine and implement the M&A business development strategy for Germany, assessing key markets and target profiles
Collaborate with the international M&A and Business Development teams to share insights and best practices
Mentor and guide junior Business Development team members
Proven track record in business development, M&A origination, strategic sales, or a similar role requiring proactive outreach and relationship building at an executive level
Established network within the software/tech industry is a significant advantage
Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably (but not mandatory) in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Sales, or a related field
~4+ years of relevant experience in a business development, sales, research, or related commercial role. Experience in software/IT or M&A/consulting is a plus
~ Fluent in German (native) and English (fluent), both written and spoken
~ Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and standard office software
