Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Yard Area Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing yard operations, ensuring that all activities run smoothly and efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation operations, with excellent program management skills. They should be able to lead and mentor others, analyze data, and make sound recommendations in an often ambiguous environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for standardizing and improving processes, identifying and eliminating root causes of defects within current systems. You will also need to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including site leadership, team members, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities
* Partner with Site Leadership to improve on-time performance of trucks in and out of yards
* Channelize communication between multiple stakeholders to streamline flow of trucks in the yard
* Accountable to report yard performance to local site leadership and identify root causes for structural issues
* Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and implementation of Lean tools
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
* Leadership experience with a track record of success
* Relevant experience in communicating with various stakeholders, including colleagues and leaders
* Relevant experience using data or anecdotal evidence to inform business decisions
* Advanced English and German language skills in both written and spoken form
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with Lean, Six-Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies
* Experience working in a logistics-related field
* Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional setting
