We are on the lookout for a Director, Head of International Competition Law Compliance to join the Global Antitrust and Trade Law team on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences.

This is a senior leadership role with global reach and strategic impact. You will lead a team of local and regional competition law experts and drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Delivery Hero’s competition law compliance programme across the group, while partnering closely with the business to advise on operational set-ups and strategic initiatives across our markets. The role reports directly to the Global Head of Competition Law at headquarters and works closely with local, regional, and global leadership teams.
1. Lead regional competition law compliance across Delivery Hero, embedding competition law principles into business decisions and supporting sustainable growth in complex regulatory environments.
2. Manage and develop a team of international competition law lawyers across different seniority levels and regions, fostering high performance and strong collaboration.
3. Drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the global competition law compliance programme, strengthening governance, risk management, and operational excellence in close collaboration with the Global Head of Competition Law and an experienced group of HQ-based competition law experts..
4. Advise senior regional and local leadership on high-impact strategic initiatives, competition law risks, and regulatory investigations, acting as a trusted business partner.
5. Manage and coordinate competition law investigations and regulatory engagements, including dawn raids, ensuring clear visibility and informed decision-making at senior levels.
6. Translate regulatory developments into practical, business-oriented guidance, enabling teams to operate confidently while meeting global standards and local requirements.
Qualifications
7. Fully qualified lawyer with at least 8+ years PQE gained in leading law firms and international in-house environments; qualification to practise in the EU and/or UK is preferred, and exposure to technology-driven or platform businesses is a strong advantage.
8. Deep expertise in antitrust and competition law compliance, including hands-on experience designing, implementing, and running global or regional compliance programmes, risk assessments, and tailored training initiatives.
9. Proven leadership experience, including several years in senior people-management roles, with a track record of building, developing, and mentoring high-performing international teams.
10. Strong background advising on complex competition law investigations and regulatory matters across multiple jurisdictions, with confidence managing sensitive, high-impact situations.
11. Excellent strategic judgment, with the ability to balance legal risk, commercial priorities, and operational realities in fast-moving, international organisations.
12. Outstanding communication and stakeholder-management skills, enabling trusted engagement with senior leadership and cross-functional teams; fluency in English is required, additional languages are a plus.
