Key Responsibilities
As a Legal Expert/Economist, your primary duties will include assessing the regulatory compliance of investment firms based on prudential reporting and internal control functions. You will evaluate risks to which investment firms are exposed in collaboration with internal specialists. Your responsibilities will also encompass conducting legal research and resolving questions related to the regulatory framework applicable to investment firms. Furthermore, you will apply CSSF's legal powers, manage enforcement procedures, including procedural aspects, in relation to investment firms. Additionally, you will contribute to AML/CTF supervision aspects, in collaboration with internal specialists. Lastly, you will develop regulatory expertise (MiFID, MICAR, ESG) and handle enquiries related to the practical application of MiFID to investment firms.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* University degree in law (preferably financial law or economic law) or economics, finance, or management.
* Good knowledge of the regulatory framework (financial sector law, European directives and regulations, CSSF regulations and circulars).
* Basic knowledge of financial analysis or data mining is considered an asset.
* Excellent writing, analytical and synthesis skills.
* Perfect proficiency in written and spoken French and English.
* Good communication skills, ability to integrate a team and interact professionally with stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be hired as a public employee under a permanent contract. Prior to the conclusion of the contract, the candidate must submit an extract from the criminal record to prove their conduct and integrity.
