Our hotel has recently undergone a full renovation — all guest rooms, public areas, and banquet facilities have been completely upgraded to provide a fresh, modern experience for our guests. We are now seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Housekeeping (m/f/d) to lead our housekeeping team and drive the continued success of our newly repositioned property.
Your tasks
* Lead and manage all Housekeeping areas including guest rooms, laundry, public spaces, meeting rooms, and back-of-house, ensuring impeccable cleanliness throughout the hotel.
* Directly supervise and support the Housekeeping team, ensuring timely preparation and readiness of rooms for guest arrivals.
* Coordinate, schedule, and oversee daily operations of the external housekeeping partner and act as the main contact person.
* Plan and manage staffing needs, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions in cooperation with HR and General Management.
* Conduct regular inspections of all areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, uniform, behavior, and furniture/equipment condition.
* Manage inventory, storage, and distribution of linens, uniforms, and cleaning supplies, monitor stock levels, and place orders as needed.
* Communicate and collaborate closely with other departments such as Engineering, Front Desk, and Food & Beverage.
* Participate actively in departmental and strategic hotel meetings to contribute to overall goals and improvements.
* Oversee budget preparation, cost control, and financial monitoring for the Housekeeping department.
* Handle, log, and securely store lost and found items.
* Ensure full compliance with Hilton Brand Standards and company policies.
* Organize storage rooms and maintain efficient workflows to support smooth housekeeping operations.
Your Profile
* Previous experience in a similar role, such as Housekeeping Supervisor or Assistant Executive Housekeeper.
* Completed vocational training in the hospitality industry is preferred.
* Proficiency in both German and English, written and spoken.
* Demonstrated flexibility, reliability, and ability to perform well under pressure.
* Strong interpersonal skills, paired with a confident and professional presence.
* Passion for housekeeping and a genuine desire for continuous professional development.
* Strong attention to detail, with high standards for quality and cleanliness.
