Hauptaufgaben
Serves as journeyman metalworker with responsibility for new installation, repair maintenance and fabrication of metal fixtures. Determines own work methods to be employed, plans sequence of work, selects tools, materials and equipment and otherwise carries assignment through to completion, utilizing the full range of trade techniques and work methods. Work alone or as a member of a work crew, predominantly at a work site (family housing, office buildings, warehouse and storage areas, troop housing, technical and shop structures and related facilities) or occasionally in a shop situation.
Fabricates, over hauls, installs and repairs railings, frames, gratings, stairs, locks, rims, steel doors, windows, fences, fence posts, playground equipment etc. Cuts from raw metal stock such as pipes, iron and steel bars and metal sheets the parts to proper size as prescribed on drawings, sketches or according to furnished measurements, patterns and instructions. Forms and repairs parts by forging, shaping, brazing and other methods. Uses hand tools and machine tools common to the trade. Disassembles machines and equipment for general overhaul. Cleans lubricates and replaces defective and worn parts. Assembles and tests machines upon completion of repair and overhaul.
Repairs and maintenance roofs and roof accessories. Inspects roofs, locates leaks and damages, determines causes and extent of damages, selects materials needed for repair and maintenance; replaces damaged components to include roofing baths, shingles, sheeting boards and joints; fabricates sheet metal and wooden parts to include downspouts, gutters, rain and water pipes, chimney covers, battons and slates, etc.; applies roofing felt, asphalt, and insulating material. Erects scaffolding.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifikationsanforderungen
A4-05:
Completed vocational training of at least 30 months in the appropriate trade. / Abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung in der entsprechenden Gewerbegruppe mit einer Ausbildungsdauer von mindestens 30 Monaten.
OR/ODER
5 years of specialized experience. / 5 Jahre einschlaegige Berufserfahrung.
A4-06:
Completed vocational training in the appropriate trade PLUS 2 years experience at a level of difficulty comparable to the Wage Group 5 or equivalent. The applicant must be able to perform the duties independently. / Abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung in der entsprechenden Gewerbegruppe mit einer Ausbildungsdauer von mindestens 30 Monaten, PLUS 2 Jahre Berufserfahrung in der Lohngruppe 5 oder in, vom Schwierigkeitsgrad vergleichbaren Taetigkeiten, welche selbstaendig ausgeuebt wurden.
OR/ODER
8 years of specialized experience of which 3 years must have been performed at the wage group 5 or equivalent level. / 8 Jahre einschlaegige Berufserfahrung von denen mindestens 3 Jahre in der Lohngruppe 5 oder vergleichbaren Taetigkeiten ausgeuebt wurden.
• Bewerber müssen den Führerschein Klasse B besitzen. / Applicants must be in possession of a German driver's license class B.
