KG Organization Grid Technologies Business Unit Business Strategy Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day Your day combines deep analysis, leadership engagement, and collaboration across regions and functions – helping to shape portfolio decisions, growth bets, and GT’s long-term strategic direction.
It begins with a catch-up call with the APAC Sales team. As the lead for the competition module in an APAC strategy project, you discuss emerging trends with sales colleagues and compile insights from recent customer meetings. You also align on upcoming analyses and deep in the morning, you join the regular team Jour Fixe with the Market & Competitor team to exchange updates and learn about ongoing topics across the group. After lunch with colleagues, you prepare the status of the latest competitor moves for the Business Area management team. In the afternoon, you connect with the Governmental Affairs team to learn about upcoming regulations, which you incorporate into your market analysis. In the evening, you head to the airport to attend a meeting for a potential partnership the next day. The day concludes with a short feedback call with your manager on your presentation to the management team.How You’ll Make an Impact
As a Market & Competitor Expert, you will play a key role in shaping Grid Technologies (GT) by:
1. Analyzing market and competitor developments and trends (, in specific verticals, new businesses, portfolios) to derive strategic focus topics for the Business Area and clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership
2. Developing and executing strategies to promote GT products and solutions by identifying and prioritizing market & competitor activities.
3. Acting as a central connector between other Execution Units and Functions, such as Sales, Products, and Service, to ensure insights flow into concrete actions
4. Driving or supporting strategic projects (, strategy definition, cost reduction, competitor analysis, portfolio review, benchmarking) to shape the future of GT, including presenting results to management
5. Consistently drive the use of AI tools and data-driven approaches to accelerate insights, improve quality and efficiency, and maximize internal customer value across GT.
What You Bring
6. University degree (Bachelor, Master, PhD) in any discipline—preferably in a technical field.
7. Long term experience in managing strategy or business excellence projects with cross-functional and international teams, ideally in a management consulting environment, previous exposure to the transmission industry is preferred.
8. Strong functional expertise in areas such as strategy definition, benchmarking, and market analysis with a proven ability to align insights to business goals and drive tangible results.
9. Demonstrated ability to work in a structured, analytical manner and a high willingness to learn and grow in the role.
10. High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, particularly in visualizing complex concepts effectively.
11. Proven ability to structure complex tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously; experience in driving digitalization initiatives is a plus.
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels in a large, global organization.
13. Fluency in English and German (written and spoken).
