Role and Objective
Job Description: We’re seeking a seasoned Engineering Director to lead our AI Infrastructure Engineering function. You will be responsible for shaping and delivering the technical vision for scalable, high-impact infrastructure that enables AI-first platforms. The role requires strong engineering leadership, deep SDLC expertise, and a track record of successful delivery in complex technical environments.
Preferred based in Europe with hands-on experience in software development and integration.
Responsibilities
* Lead large-scale, technically complex development programs from conception through delivery.
* Define, implement, and evolve our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes to ensure high-quality, efficient, and scalable software delivery.
* Champion a product-centric engineering culture, ensuring trade-offs and priorities are tied to business outcomes.
* Own and refine the software release lifecycle, including planning, risk management, and coordination across stakeholders.
* Provide mentorship and strategic direction to engineering managers and senior engineers across globally distributed teams.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Architecture, QA, DevOps, and Operations to ensure alignment and delivery excellence.
* Influence technical strategy and investment decisions aligned with business priorities, especially in AI and infrastructure domains.
Qualifications
* 8+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles, ideally within infrastructure, cloud-native, or AI-related domains.
* Proven track record in leading complex development and integration programs.
* Deep understanding of modern software development practices, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
* Strong knowledge of SDLC processes and software release lifecycle planning.
* Experience collaborating with architecture, product, and engineering teams to define technical direction and deliver end-to-end solutions.
* Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Prior hands-on experience in software development and integration is a must.
