Expert Wind and Site Assessment - Hamburg The Company: A well-established renewable energy IPP with a strong European footprint is expanding its in-house technical team. The business manages a diverse portfolio of wind and solar assets and is known for long-term ownership, high engineering standards, and a stable, supportive work environment. They combine financial strength with a hands-on technical approach, ensuring every project is evaluated with precision, from early development through to acquisition and long-term operation. The Role: Develop and maintain the data basis for yield, sound, and shadow analysis. Identify, evaluate, and document potential sites across Germany, analysing wind conditions, turbulence, terrain complexity, and regulatory constraints using WindPro, WAsP, ArcGIS, CFD tools. Plan and coordinate on-site measurement campaigns (LiDAR and met masts). Lead the creation and continuous refinement of energy yield forecasts, noise calculations, and shadow flicker models. Conduct site inspections and ensure all relevant technical parameters are captured accurately and efficiently. Collaborate closely with project developers, engineering teams, commercial departments, and external partners throughout all project phases. Manage and review the work of external specialists and consultants, ensuring high technical standards and coherent project outputs. The Ideal Candidate: Experienced in wind resource assessment, ideally within project development, consultancy, or an IPP. Familiar with industry-standard modelling tools and methods (e.g., WindPRO, WAsP, OpenWind, CFD tools). Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and translate results into practical actions. Detail-oriented, organised, and proactive, with a collaborative working style.
