Role Description The Contract & Portfolio Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the San Francisco Bay Area. This role oversees the lifecycle of commercial contracts with clients and partners, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and maintaining accurate contract records aligned with company policies and risk standards. The Contract & Portfolio Manager will manage a portfolio of client engagements, track performance metrics, monitor contract obligations, and identify opportunities to optimize revenue, margins, and client value. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with sales, legal, operations, and finance teams; preparing summaries and dashboards of contract and portfolio performance; and ensuring contract compliance, renewals, and amendments are handled in a timely manner. The role also involves contributing to process improvements, standardizing templates, and supporting strategic planning by analyzing portfolio data and providing insight-driven recommendations.
Qualifications
* Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data, build reports, and develop insights to inform portfolio and contract decisions.
* Experience in finance, with an understanding of revenue models, budgeting, pricing structures, and financial risk assessment.
* Proficiency in portfolio management, including prioritizing and monitoring a mix of client engagements, contracts, and commercial initiatives.
* Knowledge of investments and trading concepts sufficient to understand market dynamics, risk-return trade-offs, and their impact on portfolio strategy (experience in a tech, SaaS, or AI-driven environment is a plus).
* Background in contract management, commercial negotiations, or legal operations, with familiarity in reviewing terms, SLAs, and compliance requirements.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex information for non-technical stakeholders.
* Proficiency with CRM and workflow tools (e.g., Salesforce or similar), contract management systems, and spreadsheet/reporting software.
* Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, law, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
