Job Details
We are seeking a skilled IT professional to join our team as a Server and Network Administrator.
* This role involves the management of Windows and Linux servers in a virtualized environment, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
* The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing LAN/WAN networks, including switches, routers, and firewalls, as well as monitoring network performance and security.
* Backup and recovery processes will be developed and implemented by the individual, ensuring business continuity in the event of a disaster.
* Software management will involve installing, configuring, and updating company software, as well as managing licenses.
* Monitoring solutions such as Nagios and Zabbix will be used to monitor system availability and performance, allowing for proactive identification of potential issues.
* Technical documentation and operating instructions will be created and maintained by the administrator, ensuring that systems are properly understood and utilized.
* The administrator will also support the planning and implementation of IT projects, including migrations and rollouts of new systems or cloud solutions.
Requirements
* A completed vocational training as an IT specialist for system integration or comparable qualification is required.
* The successful candidate must have at least 3 years of professional experience in system administration.
* Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, network technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN), virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V), backup solutions (Veeam), and security solutions (firewalls, etc.) is essential.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking abilities are necessary for this role.
* Teamwork skills and the ability to work independently, as well as strong communication skills, are also required.
