Job Description
What You Will Do
• Support Top Management in all M&A-related tasks which are of strategic relevance for the development and the performance of the business
• Support three Business Segments "Projects", "Asset Operations" and "Solutions" and the country organizations in the further development of their activities
• Lead the execution of acquisition and divestiture processes
• Participation in all phases of Mergers & Acquisition transactions worldwide, without limitation
• Comprehensive financial, valuation and other analysis of companies and (potential) transactions
• Execution of different M&A transactions incl. distressed M&A, spin-offs, carve-outs etc.
• Interaction with internal stakeholders, decision-makers from the various business units
• Support the "Global Head of Mergers & Acquisitions" in the origination of new buy- and sell-side situations
What You Bring
• Academic degree in the field of Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or any other related field.
• 2-3 years of professional experience, primarily in "Corporate M&A", "M&A advisory" or "Private equity"
• Proven track record of closed M&A transactions
• Business fluent in English, ideally deepened by stays abroad, and optionally German language skills
• Experience in project management and company valuations
• Direct experience negotiating transactions, both financial and contractual
• Profound understanding of most common M&A valuation methodologies: Discounted Cash Flow, Comparapble Transactions, Comparable Quoted Companies and Expert Multiple approach
• Solid understanding of Virtual Data Rooms (e.g. Drooms, Merrill, Intralinks etc.)
• Experience conducting due diligence processes
• Client-oriented and ability to lead and manage external advisors and relationships with investors/targets
• Market knowledge in the energy industry is desirable
• Excellent (or outstanding) Excel and Powerpoint-skills
• Ability and willingness to travel and to work flexible hours that are sometimes dictated by deal-specific needs
