Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the Group Finance and Accounting, Reinsurance Accounting team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a temporary, full-time basis for 24 months, commencing as soon as possible as a Reinsurance Accountant Property and Casualty Business Talanx Group .
You can look forward to
* Processing of acceptances and cessions for the obligatory and facultative non-life reinsurance business of Talanx Group companies
* Preparation of complex retrocession statements
* Recording, processing and preparation of claims notifications including sanction checks and consultation with claims specialists
* Correspondence and coordination with internal interfaces and external customers
* Quarterly closing work, including liquid estimates and reserve determinations within intercompany reconciliation
* Independent management of current accounts as well as support in cash flow management
* Participation in working groups and projects focusing on automation and digitalisation in the international reinsurance accounting environment
You come equipped with
* A completed degree in Business Administration and/or a comparable qualification
* Initial experience in qualified accounting or settlement processing, ideally in (re)insurance
* Knowledge of various accounting standards, e.g. HGB and IFRS
* Proficient conversational skills in both English and German, other languages welcome
* Confident use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
* Affinity for IT topics and willingness to familiarise yourself with various IT technologies
* Very strong numerical skills and analytical thinking, as well as excellent communication skills
* An independent, responsible working style and enjoyment of working in an international, highly motivated, and well-connected team
