The Company :
A highly successful investor, developer, and IPP of utility-scale renewable energy projects. Their expansion into new markets has created an opportunity for a CEO in Germany to lead growth and ensure the achievement of their ambitious yet achievable 5-year plan.
The Role :
The CEO will develop, execute, and commercialize a large portfolio of utility-scale renewable energy, hydrogen, and battery storage projects, supporting significant growth in greenfield and M&A pipelines.
Key responsibilities include:
* Full P&L responsibility
* Develop and implement a 3-5 year strategic plan to accelerate growth towards development, construction, and operation at scale
* Oversee the development and commercialization of 300MW - 500MW+ of utility-scale projects, from readiness to build to financial close
* Ensure success in areas such as PPAs, financing, pre-construction, and construction phases
* Develop processes, tools, and best practices for effective project management and stakeholder engagement
* Structure and undertake board-level responsibilities within SPVs
* Participate in sell-side M&A activities for select projects
* Build and lead a high-performing team in Germany
* Provide strategic, prioritization, and commercial support to project development, business development, and energy markets teams
* Establish and maintain relationships with project developers, financial institutions, investors, governments, and major offtakers
* Lead commercial negotiations and lobbying efforts
* Opportunity for attractive LTIP and progression to Group CEO or equivalent within 5 years
The Person :
The ideal candidate will have :
* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Law, or Engineering
* At least 3 years in a leadership role within a renewables company
* Experience leading negotiations across development and construction lifecycle stages
* Strong commercial acumen and financial understanding
