THE OPPORTUNITY

Title: Senior Business Development Manager - Public Federal/Governmental Sector

Location: Germany

Job summary

Iron Mountain’s Global Records and Information Management Organization (GRO) is a revenue-driving commercial organization that focuses on developing, selling, and supporting solutions for customers in our regions and key global vertical industries that enable them to transform their business.

To help us achieve our growth objectives, we are now looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to join our Sales team in Germany focusing on the Public Sector market. This represents a huge opportunity for the person who joins us to grow our market share in Germany.

For this position, we are looking for a true hunter who has significant direct sales experience and a track record of winning new accounts within public sector organisations.

Your role in our mission:

1. Generate Records Management, Secure Destruction and Document Management Services including Digital Services revenue in the Public Sector on governmental and federal level.

2. Commercial management of tenders, retenders, price negotiations across nominated accounts

3. Position and sale of solutions to address named Public Customers (Federal Ministries) Information Management needs

4. Accountable for new business revenue growth in the defined range of new and existing customers

5. Ensure assigned weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual targets are reached

6. Drive the strategy for growth across nominated list of target customers and prospects

7. Develop and implement sales strategies and plans; contribute to business strategy, development and implementation

Valued skills and experience:

8. Substantial experience of selling to the Public Sector, including 16 federal ministries in Germany (eg. defense ministry), with a strong network of Public Institutions.

9. Strong background and proven experience of new business hunting

10. Ability to quickly learn new products and sales processes

11. Experience of utilising platforms and portals to retrieve tenders

12. Fluent language skills in German and English

13. Excellent written, oral and presentation skills.

14. Strong interpersonal, planning, and analytical skills.

15. Ability to influence and negotiate.

16. Ability to make decisions and think in broad terms, considering the impact to the entire company.
