Data Architect (f/m/x)
In the Content & Solutions division, we are responsible for the portfolio of Haufe, including successful software products, high-reach news portals, and modern AI solutions. We work in autonomous teams to create drive and passion and a strong willingness to exchange ideas and sparring.
For our newly structured "Strategy & Data Analytics" team, we are looking for a hands-on personality as a leading Data Architect (f/m/x) in a remote/hybrid setting or in the Freiburg office.
What you can expect:
* You develop a future-proof data architecture as the basis for business and product-driven data analytics for the business unit COS, closely working with a cross-unit squad in Haufe Group.
* You review and improve the data system as a whole, including data model designs, process flows, and end-use cases.
* You set data architecture principles, standards, and guidelines.
* You continuously review current data modeling principles and initiate improvements to enable the implementation of the intended architecture.
* You create an inventory of the data and tools needed to implement a scalable data architecture.
* You promote data innovation across Haufe/COS, with a willingness to experiment and confront complex problems.
* You work closely with the Head of Strategy & Data Analytics and the Head of Technology, alongside the data analytics team.
What you bring with you:
* 3-5+ years in the data space as an architect or engineer.
* 3-5+ years of professional experience using programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or others (Python preferred).
* Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes.
* Extensive understanding of analytical engineering and SQL.
* Experience using dbt to create and expand data models.
* Proven experience managing the same data model & architecture over time, evolving it to meet business needs.
* Ability to create and maintain architecture and systems documentation.
* Flexibility to work at the Freiburg campus at least once a month for three consecutive days.
