Work location: Hamburg, Germany (EMEA headquarters); applications are welcome from candidates already based in Hamburg or willing to relocate to Hamburg.
- Ownership and definition of the communication agenda for HR, IT, and LRC corporate functions, aligned with business objectives and global frameworks
- Advisory function and primary point of contact for functional leaders, including development of cohesive messaging strategies and executive communication opportunities
- Collaboration with global communications business partners to align internal and external communication activities with organizational strategy
- Coordination with Global Centers of Excellence and Regional Integrators for execution of communication initiatives (e.g., employee and leadership communications, events, crisis communication, PR, social media)
- Development and monitoring of KPIs to measure communication effectiveness and continuous optimization of formats, channels, and content
- Communication support for transformational projects (e.g., IT transformation) and employer branding initiatives, including campaign and guideline management
- Management of issue and crisis communications within corporate functions
- Identification of media opportunities and alignment of company strategy with functional priorities
- Support and coordination of CEO-related communication activities
- Budget responsibility for functional communications, including global budget steering, resource coordination, lateral leadership of ~5 FTEs, and management of external partners
Deine Qualifikationen
- University degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, Economics, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 10 years of experience in communications, ideally in an international and medtech environment
- Minimum 3 years of proven leadership experience in communications
- Strong expertise in internal communications strategy and execution; experience in change and/or crisis communication preferred
- Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in complex environments
- Experience in leading and steering complex, agile, and cross-functional teams
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills in cross-cultural environments
- Strategic thinking, problem-solving capability, and ability to align conflicting perspectives
- Deep understanding of modern communication landscapes, tools, and M365 environment
- Cross-cultural mindset, inclusive leadership approach, and willingness for short-term international travel (e.g., HQs, Japan)
