Our client, a leading international construction and civil engineering organisation, is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee railway infrastructure projects, including track works, civil structures, and associated facilities. The role involves hands-on site leadership, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Noise barrier installation experience is advantageous but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Full site responsibility for railway infrastructure projects, from planning to completion
2. Coordination and supervision of on-site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
3. Monitoring construction progress, safety compliance, and quality assurance
4. Reviewing and implementing technical project requirements and construction methods
5. Managing budgets, reporting on costs, and ensuring efficient resource allocation
6. Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, and project stakeholders
7. Supporting inspections, commissioning, and project handover
Job Requirement Qualifications & Experience Required:
8. Completed technical training or degree in Civil Engineering, or related discipline
9. 3–5+ years’ experience as a Site Manager on large-scale infrastructure projects
10. Experience in railway infrastructure works is ideal; noise barrier experience is a plus
11. Strong knowledge of construction processes, planning, and cost management
12. Familiarity with German construction regulations and standards (VOB, DB guidelines advantageous)
13. Full driving licence (Class B)
14. German (C1 level)
15. Willingness to travel for projects
