At the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Bonn, a
W2 Professorship for Tumor Immunology
is to be filled at the earliest opportunity.
The candidate should be nationally and internationally recognized in the field of tumor immunology and be able to create and manage an internationally competitive working group. The establishment of innovative concepts to connect fundamental research and clinical research is an important part of the professorship. The incorporation of the W2 professorship into the overall concept of the Comprehensive Cancer Center CIO ABCD (CIO Aachen Cologne Bonn Düsseldorf) and the Cluster of Excellence “ImmunoSensation2” is intended to strengthen the entire field of oncology and immunology at the University of Bonn.
The W2 professorship should represent the field of tumor immunology and hematology/oncology within Medical Clinic III. With suitable prerequisites, the position is associated with the role of senior physician in Medical Clinic and Outpatient Department III. Experience in the development of cell therapies and immunotherapies is desirable.
The successful candidate must have completed a university degree in medicine or natural science and have a habilitation or evidence of equivalent academic achievements. Experience in teaching in accordance with section 36 of the Higher Education Act of North Rhine-Westphalia (Hochschulgesetz NRW) is preferable.
