This challenging position involves managing yard operations in collaboration with Dock, Receive, and Ship teams to ensure efficient FIFO processing and mitigate CX impact risks.
As an ideal candidate, you have a background in transportation operations and possess excellent program management skills. You can lead and mentor others, analyze data, and make sound recommendations in ambiguous environments.
One of the primary responsibilities in this role is to standardize and improve processes while analyzing and eliminating root causes of defects within existing systems.
This job requires exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence change at both local and global levels.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Partner with site leadership to enhance on-time performance of trucks in and out of yards, safety metrics, and customer experience.
* Streamline communication between multiple stakeholders to ensure timely arrival and departure of trucks.
* Accountable for reporting yard performance to local site leadership, identifying root causes, and driving resolution with various stakeholders.
* Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and implement Lean tools.
* Work within tight time constraints to meet critical business needs while measuring and identifying activities performed.
* Ability to work weekend shifts as needed.
