Job description
You will take responsibility for the entire digital landscape of KIT nova – from strategic planning and digital offerings to ensuring efficient digital operations.
Your tasks:
1. drive the organizational development in the digital realm and implement new digital initiatives
2. act as the main point of contact for all digital-related topics within the team and towards KIT
3. develop and manage digital solutions for projects, such as AI tools, chatbots, cloud credits, and avatar-based virtual spaces
4. oversee digital hardware offerings such as VR/AR headsets, high-performance computers, and virtually-controlled robot arms
5. integrate prototyping and manufacturing machines from our makerspace into digital workflows
6. ensure smooth digital operations, including compliance with digital standards
7. design and manage digital infrastructures such as computers, databases, and the website
8. create a high-performing digital ecosystem for the team – with the right tools, presentation technology, and devices

Personal qualification
You bring strong digital expertise, initiative, and enthusiasm for innovative digital technologies.
You have:
9. a completed Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
10. solid experience in developing and managing digital systems in the following areas: at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, PHP), ideally full stack confident handling of Windows and Linux systems experience with database architectures, data management, API integration, and server infrastructure proven experience with digital tools / AI tools (e.g., Docker, Git, cloud platforms, LLM environments, RAG) desirable: VR/AR technologies, Unreal, Unity
11. willingness to take full responsibility for KIT nova’s digital domain and proactively develop it further
12. commitment to continuous learning and adopting new digital tools and methods
13. agile mindset and flexibility
14. passion for working in an academic context, especially supporting student projects and developing innovative solutions
15. fluent English skills, spoken and written
