Consumer Growth is one of Kleinanzeigen's core business areas, sitting at the heart of our organization. The area owns the full user lifecycle, from first acquisition through to long-term retention, and is directly accountable for one of our key metrics: Monthly Active Users.
As Head of Product for Consumer Growth, you will lead a cross-functional product domain spanning the full user lifecycle, from acquisition to retention, with levers spanning personalisation, user profile and trust, outbound communications, and paid and organic visibility. You will work alongside Engineering, Marketing and Business leaders, forming one of Kleinanzeigen's fully cross-functional leadership teams.
This is a senior leadership role with real scope and real stakes. The re-commerce market is competitive and evolving fast; your mandate is to build the product strategy and capabilities that keep Kleinanzeigen ahead.
What You'll Do:
Drive the Consumer Growth strategy, from acquisition to retention
* Define and drive the product strategy that turns Kleinanzeigen's million monthly users into active, loyal traders, with clear ownership across the full lifecycle from first visit to repeat engagement.
* Build a vision, strategy and roadmap that are coherent and compelling across very different product and marketing challenges, from personalisation of the user experience to trust & loyalty mechanics to outbound communications.
* Own the Martech stack as a product & marketing capability: audience segmentation, user data, consent, and channel activation should be reliable, scalable levers that the whole growth team can act on quickly.
Leverage AI and data as strategic assets
* Develop a clear point of view on how AI can accelerate acquisition and retention, whether through personalisation at scale, smarter outbound communications, organic visibility, or predictive lifecycle models.
* Champion data infrastructure as a product capability, not just a technical concern, ensuring tooling enables the whole area to create user-relevant products and act on user insights quickly.
Be a leader inside a truly cross-functional organisation
* You will lead within a cross-functional leadership group composed of Marketing, Tech and Business leaders, navigating business pressures without losing sight of what keeps users choosing Kleinanzeigen.
* Represent your area with clarity and credibility across the business, and contribute to a shared vision that goes beyond any single area's roadmap.
Who You Are:
* Several years of experience in product management, with a track record of leading teams and owning growth-related domains.
* Strong understanding of acquisition, retention, and lifecycle mechanics, ideally in a marketplace or consumer platform context.
* Experienced in leveraging data and AI to inform strategy and drive measurable outcomes, with familiarity with Martech or CDP tooling being a plus.
* A clear and confident communicator who can adapt their message for engineers, marketing leaders, and executive stakeholders alike.
* Comfortable operating in ambiguity; able to make considered decisions without perfect information and move teams forward.
* Experienced in working cross-functionally with Engineering, Marketing, and Data in an agile environment.
* Fluent in English. German is a genuine plus given the market context.
