Are you a seasoned finance leader in the Industrials and Manufacturing sector? We are expanding our network of dynamic CFOs and Finance Directors to take on high-impact leadership roles within private equity-backed portfolio companies across the DACH region.
Key responsibilities
* Build and lead a high-performing finance organization in project-driven environments
* Partner closely with management to steer complex development, construction, and infrastructure projects end-to-end
* Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow and liquidity management with a strong focus on project controlling
* Implement and optimize project-based reporting standards, cost-to-complete analyses, and risk management frameworks
* Ensure transparent financial steering across multiple sites, SPVs, and project phases
* Drive commercial excellence in tender processes, contract negotiations, and claims management
* Establish robust financial models and performance KPIs tailored to project-driven businesses
* Lead refinancing, capital structure optimization, and stakeholder management with banks and financial institutions
* Execute M&A transactions and integration initiatives, including platform build-outs and asset acquisitions
* Shape the equity story and support value-creation initiatives throughout the investment lifecycle
* Continuously strengthen finance processes, controlling instruments, and digital tools to enhance operational efficiency
* Serve as the key contact for auditors, tax advisors, investors, and regulatory bodies
Your profile
* University degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field
* Extensive experience as a CFO or Finance Director in an industrials environment
* Proven track record in private equity-backed settings is a strong advantage
* Solid background in refinancing, bank negotiations, and capital-intensive business models
* Demonstrated success in M&A and post-merger integration; buy-and-build exposure is a plus
* Strong technical finance expertise across controlling, accounting, and reporting
* Strategic thinker with a hands-on, pragmatic leadership approach
* Modern and people-centric leadership style with strong stakeholder management skills
* Excellent communication and presentation abilities
* Fluency in German and English
