With global product responsibility in the industrial steam turbine network, our team is based at the Görlitz and Mülheim an der Ruhr locations.You will work on the design and optimization of high-, medium- and low-pressure steam turbine blades. Design the roadmap for the further development of blading and the necessary technologies with us. The large number of interfaces to other areas such as purchasing, production, assembly, order processing, offers and sales give you exciting insights into our company.How You’ll Make an Impact
4. Participation in product and technology development for the complete blading path of industrial steam turbines
5. Focus on structural-mechanical design and optimization of low-pressure steam turbine blades
6. Responsibility for ensuring static and dynamic integrity of the blading and evaluating service life under flexible operating conditions
7. Assistance in the creation and implementation of blade and technology development roadmaps
8. Support for the development of design rules for blade development and order processing
9. Involvement in research and development projects in collaboration with external institutions and Siemens Energy’s international engineering network
What You Bring
10. Proficiency in German and English with a strong inclination for teamwork and open communication
11. University degree or equivalent experience in mechanical or aerospace engineering or a related field
12. Extensive professional and project experience in structural mechanical design of highly stressed machine components, particularly in blade design
13. Expertise in structural mechanics, dynamics, material mechanics, fatigue strength, fracture mechanics, and knowledge of aeroelasticity
14. Proficiency in common FEM programs, preferably Abaqus
15. Knowledge of turbomachinery and experience in related disciplines such as containment calculation and rotor dynamics
