Join Automotive Engineering Lab (AEL) as: Principal Engineer - Vehicle Dynamics Controls (m/f/d) We are seeking a skilled candidate in Intelligent Vehicle Dynamics for vehicle stability, handling, and performance for human and Autonomous Driving Solution (ADS) features. The ideal candidate will have deep understanding and interest in modeling of vehicle dynamics control strategies especially for highly automated vehicles, including stability and safety control based on x-by-wire system. Your role in a multidisciplinary team requires collaboration with our global research and development community. You will be working on future trends of technologies, architectures, requirements in Intelligent Vehicle Dynamics. Your mission Develop and refine control algorithms for vehicle dynamics systems, for lateral and longitudinal dynamics (e.g. stability control, steer-by-wire control, brake and traction control). Implement advanced control strategies using Model Predictive Control (MPC), PID, or adaptive or robust control techniques. Drive innovation in vehicle dynamics control for emerging technologies, such as autonomous vehicles, x-by-wire systems and electric vehicles (EVs). Create high-fidelity vehicle dynamics controls models using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink or similar Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, as well as suppliers and external partners. Your areas of expertise Master’s or higher degree in Automotive Engineering Control Systems or a related field, with a focus on vehicle dynamics or control systems. 6 years of experience in developing control systems for vehicle dynamics or related automotive systems. Deep understanding of vehicle dynamics principles, kinematics, and control theory Proven expertise in designing and deploying control algorithms for chassis systems or autonomous driving system. Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink/C/C++, dSPACE, and related tools for modeling and simulation. Strong communication ability and make the planned deliverables happen under pressure. Enthusiastic to work as part of our distributed, multi-cultural, international team and fluent communication skills in English. German and/or Chinese language knowledge will be an advantage.
