Job Description
The Snowdrop engine is efficient and flexible, enabling relatively small teams to create ambitious AAA games. At the core of the Snowdrop engine, we want to empower the developers. The Snowdrop engine, with its flexible and empowering tools, has helped develop a number of Ubisoft titles such as Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Star Wars Outlaws, The Division and South Park.
As Intermediate Graphics Programmer, your mission will be to develop and maintain graphics techniques within the engine to create the best visuals possible.
The role can be filled in Dusseldorf/Berlin/Mainz.
What you will do:
1. Bring console level graphics quality to new platforms
2. Optimize existing rendering technology
3. Collaborate with other Ubisoft studios to extend the capabilities of our in-house rendering technology
4. Develop rendering systems that enhance the visual quality, are scalable and fit into defined budgets
Qualifications
What you bring:
5. Professional experience in graphics programming
6. Knowledge of a broad range of rendering algorithms, special effects and related technology
7. Knowledge of graphics APIs (D3D11/OpenGL) and shading languages (HLSL/GLSL)
8. Ability to use graphics profiling and debugging tools
9. Strong skills in C/C++
10. Debugging and problem-solving skills
11. Being a team player by heart
12. Self-direction and motivation
13. Excellent communication and good English skills
14. Experience with platforms where performance/bandwidth restrictions exist is a plus
15. Worked on your own graphics engine is a plus
16. Knowledge of low-level graphics APIs(D3D12/Vulkan) is a plus
17. Understanding of hardware architecture and details is a plus
